Foundation/Intermediate Training Day

Novotel, Atlantic Wharf, Cardiff

The aim for the training day was to allow teachers to build up a picture of possible ways of delivering the Welsh Baccalaureate at Foundation and Intermediate level by:

• considering possible models of delivery;
• identifying ways of achieving progression;
• discussing ways of managing the Individual Investigation.

After an overview of the day, delegates were divided into groups based on whether they came from schools or colleges to look at:

• delivery models at KS 4 (schools) or
• delivery and collaboration post 16 (colleges).

Delegates came together again at mid day to look at Progression in the WBQ.

In the afternoon, a workshop was held on The Individual Investigation.
