Students
From September 2006, we will be offering the Bac at all three levels depending on the option choice. We now have eight of our none faculties involved in delivering the Bac at one or more levels.
Of special note...
Coleg Sir Gâr is one of the first cohort pilot centres. It has been offering the Welsh Bac at level 2 through the following programmes: FD Public Services, FD Sports Studies, GNVQ Health and Social Care, NVQ2 Hairdressing, NVQ2 Office Technology Studies, FD Business Studies. It has an integrated curriculum model where students study much of the Welsh Bac core through their optional subject choices. As much as possible the college has developed materials to deliver the core through the option choices, supported by additional stand alone experiences (such as speakers, trips, activities etc). As staff prepare to expand the Bac within the college they will also be developing a stand alone curriculum model to teach the Bac core through AS/A level courses and other courses at levels 1, 2 or 3 which don't easily allow an integrated approach.
