This lesson is designed to introduce pupils to the principles behind pneumatic
mechanisms. Use the interactive whiteboard activities to illustrate to pupils
how different pumps work and how they may cause a lever to move. Question
pupils' understanding and assess their present knowledge of pneumatics.
Use the activities to introduce the topic and supplement class-based exploration
of similar mechanisms and actions.
Try to teach the following words and assess your pupils' understanding
of them: control, pneumatic system, pressure, inflate, deflate, input,
output, pump and hinge.
