This pack provides an online soil experiment as well as key facts about soil. The activity is designed to illustrate soil drainage and the composition of different soils.
It should allow teachers to:
- demonstrate that there are different soils which have different properties
- demonstrate how different soils have different drainage qualities
- provide a series of questions for the pupils to answer
This pack aims to provide stimulus for discussion and a model for pupils to undertake their own experiment.
This resource pack addresses the following objectives of the national curriculum for Wales: KS2 Science - Soil - Sc3 - 1:4, Sc1 - 1:1, 3; 2:1-4; 3:2, 3, 4, 11, 12, 13, 14.
