Important stages in people’s lives are celebrated in the synagogue. This includes Jewish weddings. The bride and groom get married under a canopy called a chuppah. The picture shows a chuppah. During the wedding ceremony this will be decorated with flowers and materials. It represents the new home, in which the couple will live together. |
