In the Swansea synagogue there are lots of stained glass windows. Some of these windows have pictures of Jewish festivals. In the picture above, the window on the left shows the festival of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. The middle window shows Shabbat, the Jewish Sabbath, which lasts from Friday evening to Saturday evening. The window on the right shows the festival of Yom Kippur, which comes ten days after the Jewish New Year. |
