This resource pack introduces pupils to kitchens from the past. Pupils
compare the layout and utensils from a Celtic kitchen, a Victorian kitchen
and a modern-day kitchen. Cooking and washing are then looked at in more
detail.
Pupils make simple comparisons between life in the past and life today.
Pupils complete timelines using cookers, saucepans and kettles, both on
screen and using worksheets. They identify differences in objects from
other times and use these observations to sequence them on a timeline.
This lesson addresses 1.1, 2.3 and 3.1 from the PoS of the national curriculum
in Wales.
