Transferring Sounds to a Computer Now you've recorded all of your sounds, you're ready to save them to your computer. 1. Open GarageBand by clicking on the icon in the DOCK 2. Click on 'Garageband' then 'Hide Garageband'. 3. Slide the cover off the bottom of the MP3 recorder and plug in the small end of the USB cable. Plug the larger end into the computer. 4. The MP3 recorder will show as a 'NO NAME' icon on the desktop. Double click on this icon. 5. Click on the Garageband icon in the DOCK. 6. In the TRACK menu, click on 'New Basic Track' 7. Click on the Finder icon in the DOCK (a blue smiley face). 8. Your recordings will be numbered from RO9_0001 in the Finder window. Drag the file you want onto the new track in Garageband. It will take a few moments to import. 9. Save your project by clicking on FILE then SAVE AS. To import more than one recording, repeat steps 7-9. Note :: When you have finished importing your sounds, drag the the 'NO NAME' icon into the TRASH icon in the DOCK before you unplug the USB cable. |
