Collecting Sounds

Using your mp3 recorder    Using a microphone    Recording

Once you've found the sound you want, carefully follow these steps to record:

6. When you've positioned yourself near the sound you want to record, and you can hear the sound clearly in your headphones, press the REC button again on your MP3 recorder. The red light will stay on. You're now recording.

7. When you've recorded the sound or sounds that you want, press the STOP button. The red light will switch off.

8. To record another sound, you now need to repeat steps 1 - 5 of Using your MP3 recorder

Tip :: You can adjust the amount of sound the microphone will pick up by using the INPUT LEVEL buttons on the side of the MP3 recorder. If the sound is too quiet, raise the level by pressing +. If the red PEAK light comes on, the sound is too loud and will distort, so you need to lower the input level using the - button.
