Starting Up Using Loops Using Software Instruments
Using Real Instruments & Vocals   Mixing Your Track   Exporting Your Track

GarageBand consists of three musical components:

1) Loops: These are short pieces of music already in GarageBand that can be repeated or 'looped' in your track.

2) Software Instruments: These are tracks created with the instrumental sounds inside GarageBand. They can be played with a separate keyboard or with GarageBand's on-screen keyboard

3) Real Instruments: These are tracks that are made by recording a performance of a real instruments or voice through the computer's audio interface.

Starting Up

To start working in GarageBand, you will need to create a new project.

Watch the movie to find out how to create a new GarageBand project. Follow the instructions carefully.
