Developing a Project Theme

What is a Theme?   Classroom Activity

Mind-mapping allows you to come up with lots of ideas around a broad theme. This process will help to simplify your project.

Working in groups, start by writing the title of your chosen theme into the centre of a large sheet of paper.

Draw a thought bubble around the word.

Can you think of 6 ideas around your theme?

Write your ideas around the centre word.

The Environment Mind-Map by Cameron, Ysgol Pencae

Each of your ideas can now be considered in more detail.

For each of your 6 ideas, can you think of 6 more?

Write theses ideas, branching from your first 6 answers.

Your sheet will look like a web of connected ideas. We call this a Mind-Map.

Now, choose one of your ideas and focus it further. Choose carefully, because your Ffoto:Story will be based on this idea.

You could even start a new mind-map with this idea in the centre.
