This resource pack includes activities covering "big and small" and "short and tall".
Pupils are introduced to Luc, who is small and Gwen, who is tall. Luc has small things and Gwen has big things.
Pupils complete a variety of sorting and ordering activities based on these concepts. Two worksheets are provided where pupils have to order pictures, putting either the tallest first or the shortest first.
Pupils should:
- be able to use mathematical vocabulary correctly and in relevant contexts
- understand mathematical concepts such as taller than, smaller than, etc
- be able to order by size
- be able to sort by given criteria
