![]() The Romans are coming! And I don't think they're here to sell pizzas! The Romans are famous for many things, invading and conquering being just two of them. They invaded Britain twice, first in 55-54 BC and again in AD 43. This time they were here to stay and they eventually worked their way up to north Wales. It was not until AD 60 that they were ready to face the Ordovice tribe in Snowdonia and Anglesey. It took two attempts for the Romans to beat the tribe and conquer the area.
