The lesson objective is to introduce pupils to mental strategies for finding simple fractions of a number using their knowledge of multiplication and division facts. Pupils will already have an understanding of simple fractions of shapes. This activity introduces them to the relationship between multiplication and division and allows them to find fractions of numbers using multiplication number triangles and fraction walls. |
