In this lesson pupils learn the importance of checking information for mistakes and about how poor quality information can lead to unreliable results in data handling.
The activity gives pupils the opportunity to check and question data about imaginary breakfast cereals. They have to analyse a graph identifying the inaccurate data it contains. They then show their understanding by choosing the correct item and field to amend and selecting more appropriate data from multiple-choice options. Pupils are redirected to the beginning of the activity if they make an error and a help facility will automatically assist after three mistakes.
