Task:
- With a partner, discuss briefly why you
think the government would support a training
programme like E-Guides (2 minutes).
- Your trainer will
describe some current policies and strategies
concerning the NTLCP and the E-Guides training
programmes. This will be supported by the
PowerPoint® presentation:
E-learning
2007 – 2008: influences and initiatives (8
minutes).
- Complete the Activity:
The role of the E-Guide (5
minutes).
- Share the challenges
and expectations of the role with your
group. Agree on
one major challenge in your group and focus
on strategies for dealing with any potential
barriers. You might want to revisit
one of the tools for working with change
from Session 2.9 (20 minutes).
- You may wish to read the information sheets Supporting
colleagues in your organisation, Models
of skills development and Development
of e-learning skills on
your E-Guides USB memory stick. Then
complete the Activity:
Factors influencing the development of
e-learning skills and make
notes in preparation for drawing up your
action plan (10 minutes).
