Microsoft® PowerPoint® can
be used to create and deliver interactive
learning resources in the form of presentations
containing one or more slides. Each slide
may contain text, graphics, animation, internal
and external hyperlinks, and audio and video
clips.
Presentations can be delivered
directly through a computer monitor, projected
onto a large screen using a data projector.
Note: this
section deals with recreating a presentation
using Microsoft® Windows® XP
Professional operating software, running
Microsoft® PowerPoint® 2003.
You may want to repurpose these materials
to suit your own computer environment, and
you may find there are slight variations
between software versions, but the principles
remain consistent.
The activities included
in this section explore the inclusion of interactive
elements within a presentation, and assume
prior knowledge of using PowerPoint®. They
are not suitable for users that are new to
the program.
The following activities
will cover the actions shown below:
- hyperlinks – internal
and external
- using audio and video
- interactive
text boxes.
