NLN Materials

Introduction

The e-learning materials span the post-16 curriculum and can easily be fitted into existing teaching. Access to the materials is available through the nln website. You can also find information and support tailored to your needs by accessing the FAQ area.

Flexible learning

The materials have been created as small episodes of learning to give plenty of flexibility, which take about 20 - 30 minutes to complete.

They are not whole courses but individual elements of topics (units) selected from the curriculum. They allow learners the opportunity to remember and practice new information, and take part in some form of assessment to check that the learning has been understood and the learning outcome(s) achieved.

Accessing the materials

The materials are available to all Welsh schools with sixth forms. To obtain the appropriate logon details for your school please contact info@ngfl-cymru.org.uk including your name and school details.

Who created the materials?

Commercial developers with subject matter experts, and the full involvement of a wide range of colleges and college consortia. All of the materials were fully tested by tutors and students, and trials took place at the Royal National College for the Blind in Hereford.

The materials are being made available to schools and colleges in Wales through funding from the Welsh Assembly Government.
