Outline of the activity
The class were studying Uganda as part of a geography project.

Skills Covered
The children had never used a multimedia presentation package before and so the whole concept was new.  They were introduced to planning the presentation as a storyboard, working in groups to plan and produce slides, researching their slides and copying and pasting graphics and text to make the slides

Rationale
This lesson allowed the teacher to increase greatly the children’s ICT capabilities in using the internet to research, copy and paste and use multimedia all within a class project.  The teacher was particularly pleased with the way the less able pupils responded
