Outline of the activity
The class were investigating the use of adjectives in poetry. They listened to a range of poetry and then created their own versions draft format. They used the PC to enhance their work and highlight certain words including adjectives in different fonts styles, sizes and colours.

Skills Covered
The children learn how to use the keyboard effectively, they know how to alter size, font and colour. They are able to use the spell checking facility, save, retrieve and print their work.

Rationale
Using the facilities of the word processor, pupils are able to experiment with language (both content and form) to achieve their purpose.
