Visitors to our school graphOutline of the activity
The children decided it would be a good idea to make a note of types of visitor to the school in a given time period. They collected the information, inputted it into RM Starting Graph and produced block graphs to show their results.

Skills Covered
The children had to think about collecting and representing information in a graphical form. They had to input the information into the computer and this was differentiated by the teacher by their questioning and discussion. Some children were able to print their work independently.

Rationale
This activity puts computer graph making into a context which the children could understand.  They were able to collate the information quickly and easily.

Result
This is an example of a finished graph.
