Trees in the local environment

This unit looks at 10 trees that can be found in our local area. The pupils can learn about the habitat, appearance and uses of the tree from pictorial and textual information.

This knowledge is then tested with two interactive activities. The first asks pupils to match the leaf from a tree to its description. The second activity looks at the properties of trees then asks pupils to match the tree to the correct product. There is a printable worksheet for a follow-up activity outside of the classroom.
