Cold chain

‘Cold Chain’ is a linked series of resources aimed at presenting KS3 learners with resources for a scientific enquiry.

The resources are developed from the ‘Big Idea’ of using science and technology to help improve health and the quality of life.

The need for keeping vaccines cool is introduced and learners are invited to use their scientific knowledge and skills to design, make and test a ‘vaccine carrier’ which could be used to transport vaccines to where they are to be used.

It is intended that teachers pick from the range of resources to match the skill areas and range of the curriculum they wish to cover with the class.
