Breathing and Respiration

The unit contains a presentation and an interactive experiment which supports KS3 learners as they complete a scientific enquiry. (NGfL Cymru)

The resources are developed from the Big Idea: Are breathing and respiration the same or different?

Many aspects of the both the ‘Making a model respiratory system’ enquiry and the ‘Burning Food’ virtual experiment could be used to develop and assess learners’ scientific skills.

It is intended that teachers pick from the range of resources to match the skill areas and range of the curriculum they wish to cover with the class.
