Looking at Mechanisms – Levers and Linkages

Using everyday objects as examples pupils will investigate mechanisms, levers and linkages. They will be encouraged to disassemble and evaluate objects and understand how simple movement is created.

They have the opportunity to create their own examples of mechanisms either via interactive whiteboard activities and/or practical sessions. This resource could form part of a longer topic looking at machines and creating movement.
