Line graphs - Topperton Garden CentreOutline of the activity
The class had been working on bar line graphs from their maths scheme. They had been having difficulty in drawing their own to any degree of accuracy. The teacher used Excel to show the graph in a different format and setting.

Skills Covered
The pupils learnt how to input data into a table and then use the chart wizard to create the graph of their choice. They also learnt how to cut and paste the graph into Word.

Rationale
The class used IT as another format to present their data in. They could see the benefits of using the package to create their graphs in a ‘readable’ form. They also learnt a series of skills which extended their knowledge and understanding of graphs.
