Outline of the activity
Schools from Wales, Ireland, France and Germany were involved in this Comenius project. The reason for the success of such a project was that there was an end product (website) which provided a focus for the collaborative activities.
Skills Covered
Pupils researched the topic and added information gained on their field trips and through e-mail communication with partner schools.
Rationale
Through the web pages the children could see what other schools had done. They could e-mail each other and discuss their work. Similar investigations were carried out in other schools and the children were able to compare results. Various projects were distributed to the project schools all linked to the theme of water quality.
