Outline of the activity
The children produced a class book on the topic through their research.  

Skills Covered
Language appreciation was important as pupils wrote their information in an appropriate style and format.  They used sophisticated search and retrieval skills to accumulate information relevant to the topic.

Rationale
The use of IT was helpful in locating important information but also contributed to drafting and redrafting of the text in order to produce the finished articles.
