Richard TrevithickOutline of the activity
The class researched Richard Trevithick using web site addresses given by the teacher.  They then had to summarise the information and produce a newspaper.

Skills Covered
The skills that were covered during this exercise were searching for information, saving and editing the information and using the basic facilities of the word processor program to create a contemporary newspaper article.

Rationale
The use of IT was helpful in locating important information but also contributed to drafting and redrafting of the text in order to produce the finished article.
