The schoolroom at St Fagan'sOutline of the activity
The MLD class had been studying the Victorians as part of the History curriculum.  They visited the Victorian schoolroom at St. Ffagan's, where they dressed up as Victorian schoolchildren in a role-play session.  They decided that it would be a good idea to present their experiences using multimedia software.

Skills Covered
The children had to think about how to present their work using a new medium.  They had to keep within the confines of a beginning, middle and end sequence so that the presentation made sense.  They scanned photographs, combined graphics and text and used copying and pasting.  They also practised changing font size and colour.

Rationale
Multimedia is an effective and easy way for the children to present work in a professional way.  The children can also practice oracy skills by composing a commentary to go with it.
