How was it used?
The resource was used as revision for Welsh 2nd Language for Upper KS2 children.
Having used many of the activities found in the 6 large Welsh 2nd Lang resources on NGfL Cymru it was great to find this audio story that enabled my pupils to revise and extend their vocabulary about the house.
This in turn, made me think of adapting this activity further to recap on other vocabulary and key phrases.
Impact and Outcomes
Children were given the opportunity to revise their understanding of Welsh phrases learnt by using the picture cues to create short dialogue / story about themselves.
Children worked well in groups of various sizes, collaborating effectively.
They took turns more easily, showing greater respect for the work of others.

Lesson Learnt
I adapted some of these exercises using the images taken from NGfL Cymru but, in future, I’d like to try creating similar PPT shows with the children by getting them to take their own photos and superimposing the speech bubbles and Welsh phrases over the top using a simple graphics package or Powerpoint again, again adding audio of children reading their text.
