How was it used?
This unit was used as part of a partnership project with the International school we are linked to.
I found this resource pack for the primary phase very useful for two reasons:
1) It gave me plenty of ideas for creating activities that we could run in partnership with our own international link.
2) The files were created in software that I had access to. This meant that I could use the original files and adapt them slightly to fit my own situation (rather than having to re-invent the wheel).
At different times during the lessons I had the children working as a whole class, in groups and in pairs providing opportunities to develop thinking and encouraging peer assessment.
Impact and Outcomes
Learner Feedback
It was interesting to get a point of view from someone else, somewhere else in the world.
There were lots of ways where we were different but also ways where we were the same.
It was good to find out things from the children in the other country rather than read about it and wonder if it’s true.

Lesson Learnt
These sorts of activities could easily be adapted and built on to look at other themes in an international linking project.
Children enjoyed the challenges set and it was important that they saw their own view, opinion of things and situation wasn’t the only one.
