Thinking Skills and Art - Portraits

This resource pack will support the theme of ‘People’.

The resources will include; ‘Thinking Skills’ templates, creative learning experiences based on the selected images and links with other areas of the curriculum.

The resources will support teachers to;

• Extend their planning around the theme of ‘People’.
• Capitalize on the natural curiosity of learners.
• Provide opportunities for learners to pool their ideas and plan their own learning.
• Create a range of learning experiences, which encourage reflective thinkers.
• Use the theme of ‘People’ to explore learners’ emotional responses and address wider issues associated with the family, school and community.
• Allow learners to explore and experiment with a range of information and resources to plan, develop and reflect on their creative activities.
• Encourage learners to become receptive to new ideas.
