Amnesty International Resources
This will allow pupils to have a knowledge and understanding about human rights, learn attitudes and behaviour respectful of human rights as well as learn skills to uphold and protect human rights.
Aimed at Key Stage 4 pupils, there are packs for school assemblies, several one hour lessons with relevant film clips and interactive activities, information for holding an UN debate, as well as a taking-action project which would be useful for students wishing to learn about campaigning, and the work of a campaigning organisation.
New resources onsite for Autumn 2010 include 'A Matter of Life and Death', a bilingual resource aimed at KS4 and the Welsh Baccalaureate. The pack is designed to help young people in Wales talk about the impact of the death penalty.
