Concrete Poetry

This resource pack revises the use of a thesaurus to choose appropriate synonyms and demonstrates how the choice of words can change the shade of meaning in poetry. Pupils can use the interactive activity to create their own concrete poem using a typical Welsh image as a background to build their poem upon and then print out the completed version.

Alternatively the activity could be used for whole class demonstration before printing out backgrounds for the children to write their poem on.
