Wacky Web Tales

Outline of the activity
The children were using the internet to support their creative writing and grammar lessons. This particular site asked them to input specific grammatical conventions to construct a story.  If they entered the wrong words then  the story would not make sense.

Skills Covered
The children navigated their way around the internet using web addresses, selecting icons to change pages and using the back and forward keys.  Within this they also practised developing their mouse skills. They also printed their work independently.

Rationale
This activity put the internet into a classroom context other than for researching a topic.  The children enjoyed seeing how their words were turned into a story.
