Cmon
Secondary foci: Curriculum Cymreig, Literacy Skills, Reflective practice,
How was it used?
The resource was used as part of a topic on Friendships and Bullying.
Although we don’t use the ‘C’mon’ resource, several of the online interactive activities were still relevant to our work in the classroom and could be further enhanced by adapting some of the thinking skill activities available in NGfL Cymru’s Good Practice area (full set available to registered users).
Impact and Outcomes
The work contributed towards the development of critical thinking skills.
Children worked well in groups of various sizes, collaborating effectively.
They took turns more easily, showing greater respect for the work of others.
Students were encouraged to reflect on their own past experiences during the exercises to help decide on decisions in the future.
Other Resources
Adapted thinking skills activities in PPT and Word
Lesson Learnt
I adapted some of these exercises to fit in with my existing SoW but this resource has made me aware of the ‘C’mon’ resource and I will possibly look to use this for future plans and lessons.
