Interesting insects
Outline of the activity
The class had been studying and making 3D versions of a number of insects through an art projects. They then used the internet and reference books from their school library to create an information sheet using Word.
Skills Covered
The children used a number of skills during this lesson. They were able to search the website effectively for relevant information. They used bullet points, differing font size and styles, imported clip art and scanned information from the books.
Rationale
The class learnt about their chosen insect through a variety of forms. The IT element allowed them to present their work in a professional format by using the internet. They broadened their search options.
