Using the following web address http://www.ibiblio.org/wm/paint/auth/mondrian pupils create their own pictures in his style. They used e-mail to send mathematical descriptions to their partner school.
Skills Covered
Pupils used their art package to create pictures in the style of Mondrian, they worked out mathematical descriptions of their pictures and they used electronic mail to send these descriptions and receive pictures from their partner school.
Rationale
The use of a real audience for their work made the children focus clearly on the task. The use of ICT enhanced their classwork and led to high quality work.
